We’re based in Finland (can you believe it?)

The land of long silences, personal space, and an unspoken agreement that sometimes the best conversation is no conversation at all. And yet, here we are, creating solutions to bring people together face-to-face for real, meaningful interactions. Yes, we know—it’s almost as surprising as a Finn making small talk in an elevator. But hey, even we appreciate a good meeting (as long as there’s coffee).

We’re based in Finland (can you believe it?)

Our story

It all began in 2006 in Tampere, Finland, when Anssi, a young techie student, and our current CEO, heard the business world’s need for an easier way to welcome corporate guests. There was no such concept as visitor management back then, at least not in its current meaning. So, we felt we were on to something special. And so, Systam was born.

As our knowledge of customer needs and the future potential of our “automated lobby” solution grew, so did our thirst for success. We wanted to make complex things simple and create positive interactions through technology. Soon our company became the market leader for visitor management in Finland, and our product portfolio grew with safety inductions and meeting room displays for room booking.

When the global pandemic struck in 2020, it accelerated the market for hybrid work and remote solutions. While in-person meetings became less frequent, those that did occur became even more significant, and we recognized our desire to continue investing in them.

The astonishing speed of technological advancement, particularly with AI, is bringing us closer to daily life, where things happen automatically, everything is connected, and manual work is reduced. But at the core of it all are still us—the people, the brain, and our collaboration.

Whether during visits or in-house meetings, we aim to facilitate connections that enable businesses to flourish through safe and meaningful interactions—one meeting at a time.
