Since the end of 2014, in addition to the friendly front desk services, visitors to the Metso HQ in Espoo have also been greeted by the Systam Visit solution. The solution has assisted in easing the extended task description of the front desk services and in giving more structure to the reception of visitors. Especially the easy-to-use QR code has received praise, as it makes the sign-in procedure faster and gives an impressive image of the company.

A collaboration born from real needs – with instant results

In the older days, Metso visitors would enter their information on a visitor form by hand, but the old-fashioned method was not in line with other practices at Metso, a manufacturer of top-notch technology. The Systam Visit visitor management system was an excellent solution to this problem, and visitors now register their arrival using the Visit service. At present, there are two self-service kiosks in the main lobby of Metso HQ, because the facility welcomes a large number of visitors. The second kiosk has been found to be efficient in evening out the visitor flow during peak hours. After the signing-in has been completed, the kiosk prints out a visitor card and notifies the person hosting the visit that the guest has arrived. Visitor parking has also been simplified with the use of the Visit solution, as visitors arriving by car can register their license plate number directly in the system during registration.

New services and quick responses

Visitors can also be registered in the system in advance, and then conveniently announce their arrival by entering the QR code. Erkko Malinen, Director of Facility & Premises Services at Metso, explains that registration using a code provides a positive impression and image of the company. Thanks to the new system to be commissioned soon, people can also be automatically registered as visitors by using calendar invitations. Following the commissioning of the system, Malinen believes that the Visit solution will serve them even more efficiently than before. Malinen has also been satisfied with the service offered by Systam. The staff can be reached quickly, and the solution has been developed especially for the needs of Metso.
