A cost effective and easy solution
At Arctia Shipping’s Katajanokka base, it is important that every visitor moving in the port area is identifiable. The Systam Visit solution was acquired in the spring of 2012 to register and notify visitors to the area. Many of the visitors are international, so the multilingual nature of the solution is an important part of flexible operations.
The service was easy to set up and has worked reliably. Visitors have been pleased with the service. With the help of Systam Visit, we have been able to fix the problems related to registration. We have also been able to create a standard code of conduct for the reception of guests. Visitor check-in is easy and a photo card adds to general security. Communicating with Systam has also been effortless.

Important reception point needed streamlining

Many different visitors move around Arctia’s Katajanokka base; subcontractors and contractors, as well as external staff. The Systam Visit visitor management solution creates a personal photo card for each guest. Sign-in is done on a ship-by-ship basis, allowing each guest to be assigned to the ship to which the visit relates. Of course, the visit can also be related to the port area, which has its own distinct profile. The data is saved according to the selected destination, so tracking can be done on a vessel-by-vessel basis. The expansion of the solution to Arctia Shipping’s shipping company was natural after the company’s headquarters moved to the Katajanokka base. The various events that take place on ships during the summer add to the diverse environment.
